My Story. His Glory.
I’m Mayelyn — a woman, a daughter, a mother, a sister, a survivor, a believer. But above all else, I’m a child of God who has walked through some very dark valleys and witnessed the faithfulness of God in the midst of it all.
Like many of you, my journey hasn’t been easy…
He is still the same God that I am serving today.
I’ve lived through some near-death experiences, heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, rejection, emotional and mental battles, abuse, solely caring for my baby boy, seasons of silence and wilderness, and many moments where I questioned everything I thought I knew about life, people, love, and even myself.
At times, it feels like I’ve been living in my “Job” season for the past decade or longer.
Yet even in the darkest moments… God never left me.
He met me in the broken places.
He carried me through the grief.
He healed what I thought was too far gone to heal.
And little by little, He began turning my pain into purpose.
“AND THEY OVERCAME HIM BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY”. – REVELATION 12:11
Church After Dark was born from that place
Not from perfection.
Not from performance.
But from honesty, healing, restoration, and the belief that people deserve a safe place to be vulnerable — a place where real conversations can happen without shame, fear, or condemnation.
This platform was created for the Christian men and women silently struggling behind closed doors. The ones carrying pain while still showing up for everyone else. The ones searching for hope, healing, clarity, truth, and community.
My prayer is that through every conversation, testimony, and moment shared here, people encounter not just vulnerability… but the love, grace, and transformative power of God.
